Operations on this line:

The Cement Plant trackage used to run from the west side of the Welland Canal in downtown Port Colborne, west through town across several streets to a location around Elgin Street and over to the Quarry Ponds located on the map beside.
This line is one I am not that thoroughly familiar with but I will mention what I know.
This rail line was built around 1930. The cement plant lasted til about 1669 and torn out in 1970 or within a few years after. I was informed that the cement plant closed about 1970 and their smoke stack at least was knocked down in 1972.
In regards to the timetable at the top of the page, I'm sure this rail line existed after that, but I don't wish to modify it, unless I have some definite facts.
The cement plant was located just north or to the west of Elgin Street in Port Colborne.
The cement plant business extracted Gypsum from the Quarries on the south and north side of the former CN Dunnville Subdivision, which is on the east side of Cement Plant Road.
There used to be a train or railcar rail line of a narrow gauge standard which ran underneath the CN Dunnville Subdivision to access the quarry on the south side of the CN Dunnville Subdivision.
I have seen a map from when the plant was in operation and on the map, it shows that the plant once also connected y oa switch to the CN Dunnbille Subdivision from the northj side.      I didn't put any few photos on this page but I should, but I have photos I believe on the TR Harborline Subdivision page near the end of the collection. They show the small underpass. This was the underpass of the Cement plant quarry rail line.
I was told that the cement made here for concrete production, was used in the building of the Hydro Canal in Niagara Falls.
Following the rail line from west to east if you were to walk the rail lines' ROW, there is an unnamed street heading south off of Killaly Street near where Westside Road meets Killaly Street. Go down there and then walk east. The line will pass the high school in Port Colborne heading east and some residential areas, then when you get to King Street, you will notice that the marina along the weir of the old canal is covering the old ROW. There used to be a dock here for the cement to be put onto boats.
In July 2020, I found a map of the old Cement Plant trackage and how it connected to other trackage. Ignore the red arrow on the map.
