| My life changed in 2016. Having found my first girlfriend and devoting my life to other things, rather than what was just trains, trains and trains. Trains ended up beingb put on the back burner, for good reasons. If I remembercorrectly, the last photos that were added was in 2016. Sadly my girlfriend passed away suddenly in 2023, at the age of 42. It left me feeling lost and depressed, for the last few years. She and I clicked instantly, like we found what we were both missing. Her name was Erin Nicole Carr, of Welland. She isvthe most beautiful thing that has ever come into my life. It just grew into something that was meant to be, before her passing. Having now almost being 2 years since her passing, I'm slowly finding a new direction and interest. I still plan to carry on with my website. Right now it's just sitting unchanged. I have no plans to shut my page down. | |
| I had to give up using my bike as transportation, as it put me into sweat shock trying to just pedal. I developed knee arthritis and stabbed the meniscus in my knee. I haven't been out trackside like I used to, since 2018-2019. I've chosen not to buy an ebike, as thrives will just find a way to steal it. Society socks, as we all know. | |
| As of March 3, 2024, GIO Rail, formerly Trillium Railway, abandoned the former Thorold and St. Catharines NS&T trackage. I take it went that way due to the lack of railcar movements. GIO Rail no longer travel north of Welland, past mile 8.5 or so, which is the Welland River. I was told that the St.Catharines and Thorold ex NS&T trackage was handed back over to CN, for their decision on what to do with the rails in the weeds. I was told parts of the Fonthill Spur since last year have possibly been torn up. I have no way of verifying. I have yet to move the abandoned trackage pages to the Abandoned area of the subdivision pages as trackage is still mainly in place. Some crossing protection I believe has been removed. | |
| My friend Peter Hoople, whom I used to railfan with, passed away in 2017. He played a big roll in just watching trains. With mentioning today in another info update, this is one big reason I don't see trains anymore. Peter was a great guy. He had suffered a stroke in 2011, recovered, then passed away just before Christmas of that year of 2017. Two months after his brother passed. | |
| I haven't been able to get my hands on a Canadian Trackside Guide for 3 years. Some confusion on getting them from someone. I do know CN and CP, or should I now say CPKC have newer locomotives. I know those locomotives aren't listed on my website. I am quite aware of my short-comimgs to data information. | |
| It's been a good while since I've posted something to my website. I moved in 2019 from my previous residence to where i an now. I'm still living in Welland. I haven't been on the ball to add anything as I also ran out of file storage. It nearly filled 5GB of file storage. I have approximately 500MB of space left for operating use of my website. I also lost my Adobe Photoshop program in 2016 when my Windows OS crashed. I haven't had a piece of worthwhile software to edit photos properly, so posting hasn't happened, besides the shortage of server storage. This is another issue that has put a freeze on photos | |

| Tonight, I went through all of my photos, fixing errors when you search for one topic, CN or CP, or whatever RR you choose, resulted in some non associated photos coming up. It was an error that I had made when adding photos, because I had copied and edited existing photo records in my mySQL database to create new records. I had found about 30 records, to which have been resolved. Keep in mind that there are some where another RR will still show up, because both RR's are in the photo. | |

| During the last 3 days I have been verifying to my best ability information on DIESEL ROSTER data and cleaning things up, filling in the blanks where I have been able to find sufficient information. I have found errors within my diesel Rosters that were pretty much obviously embarrassing to me, as to being aware of after all of these years. | |

If you come across locomotives with the SERIES as 9, those are ones I need to fix as I haven't found much, after verifying that that was the model for the locomotive record in my database. | |
| Yesterday and today, I have been going through DIESEL ROSTERS that had no details for them and adding the model to them. When I have gone through them, I will go in and fill in the blanks. You will notice the SERIES will show 9. This is just for my reference that I have verified a locomotive. It's just a temporary thing. | |
| This morning, I moved the Guelph Subdivision, Fergus Subdivision and Waterloo Spur from the GEXR, back to the CN area in the 2 subdivision pages. I have also removed the Fonthill Spur and Lakeside Spur from the main sections , under Trillium Rwy and put them under NON-EXISTENT TRACKAGE on those pages. This spring, The Fonthill Spur was ripped up. In late May or early June, the Lakeside Spur was torn out...even thought there hasn't been traffic into or our of the closed Energex plant since it closed in 2013. | |

I've been correcting things by model such as HP, length, engine model, ETC. I must say, when I entered this info in as I was building the pages, the data was severely incorrect, do to the lack of truthful stats. I will say, some of it has been stupidly embarrassing. | It's been a while since i have posted anything on this page on my site. I believe I added some diesel rosters a few months ago, but that is pretty much it. I haven't active into actually photographing trains, due to operating times. I lost my railfan sidekick in December of last year, so that has put an end to getting out by car anywhere. I've been looking at other things in life, but haven't chosen at all to move on from trains. I have to get back into trains one of these days with a look back on the by-gone era of what was. I no longer have any contacts with railway people,so anything that goes on is 'new to me'. Only one thing I wisg my page had were larger photos. Initially I put them at 420x because of cost of hosting my website was expensive, but by the time I moved my site to a U.S.A. host, most of my photos were 'set in stone'. Railcars upload to my site over the last few years have been left at a larger size, as you may have noticed. | |
